Medicinal-Chocolate-Tasting-5

The Power of Spiced Chocolates

Learn how to make healthy dark chocolates infused with potent healing spices at home!

In this workshop, you will learn how to make dark chocolate that is truly health-promoting, while still being extremely tasty. We will be featuring Cinnamon Tree Organics’ fresh, organic spices to understand how these spices can be used medicinally to support your health. Chocolate is a creative way to enjoy the anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, therapeutic properties of familiar spices such as Ceylon cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, cardamom, and lesser known superfoods such as moringa.

Erin Antosh, Clinical Herbalist and CEO of Where The Good Grows, will teach you how to infuse therapeutic plants into chocolate, incorporate medicinal herbs into creamy fillings, use vibrant spices and edible flowers for decoration, and add “superfoods” to boost the nutrient density of your “no longer guilty” pleasure. You will also learn about the power of raw (unpasteurized) honey in supporting wellness, as we will use local raw honey exclusively as a sweetener.

We will discuss the therapeutic properties of the spices used to make the chocolate creations, so you will understand how you can make chocolates for your particular wellness goals. During the talk and demo, you will have the opportunity to taste three different medicinal plant-infused chocolates, while sipping chai tea made with fresh Cinnamon Tree Organics spices. You will also have the chance to decorate chocolates with fresh spices at the end of class and will go home with a decorative box of three chocolate truffles that you decorate (if they make it out of class before being eaten)! These creative chocolates also make great gifts!
