Adaptogen Chocolate Bon Bons with Raw Cacao

Botanical Chocolates Infused with Medicinal Plants + Superfoods

Did you know that cacao, the primary ingredient in dark chocolate, is one of the most antioxidant and magnesium-rich foods? But most chocolate on store shelves is overly processed, and loaded with sugar and additives, depleting its potential nutritional power.

Erin Antosh, Clinical Herbalist and CEO of Where The Good Grows, will teach you how to infuse therapeutic plants into chocolate, incorporate medicinal herbs into creamy fillings, use vibrant spices and edible flowers for decoration, and add “superfoods” to boost the nutrient density of your “no longer guilty” pleasure. You will also learn about the power of raw (unpasteurized) honey in supporting wellness, as we will use local raw honey as a sweetener. Chocolate is a creative and tasty way to enjoy the anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, and stress-relieving properties of therapeutic plants!

During the talk and chocolate making demo, you will have the opportunity to taste three different medicinal plant-infused chocolates. We will discuss the medicinal properties of the herbs used to make the chocolate creations, so you will understand how you can make chocolates at home for your particular wellness goals. You will also have the chance to decorate chocolates with colorful plants at the end of class and will go home with a decorative box of three chocolate truffles that you decorate (if they make it out of class before being eaten)! These healthy chocolates make great gifts!

NOTES: This is partially a hands-on workshop, as you will get to decorate pre-made chocolates (the actual chocolate making will be a demonstration in front of the class). Your event fee includes herbal tea to sip during the class, three chocolate truffles to taste during class, and three chocolates you make to take home. The chocolate you will take home will need to be refrigerated soon after the class. Please inform us of any allergies prior to the class and we will do our best to accommodate. The dark chocolates are vegan and gluten-free.
